Caribbean POSH Announces 2026 ICON Woman Awards Honorees for Landmark 10-Year Celebration in the British Virgin Islands

 British Virgin Islands — Caribbean POSH has officially announced the distinguished honorees for the 2026 Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards, taking place on June 26, 2026, in the British Virgin Islands as part of Caribbean POSH Weekend 2026. 

Celebrating 10 Years of Purpose and POSH, this year’s awards will honor an exceptional group of Caribbean women whose leadership continues to shape the future of the region across government, tourism, media, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and community development. 

The 2026 honorees include: 

● Honorable Cora Richardson-Hodge, Premier of Anguilla 

● Dr. Legena Henry — Founder & CEO of Rum & Sargassum 

● Dona Regis-Prosper — Secretary-General & CEO of the Caribbean Tourism Organization 

● Jennifer Matarangas-King — Commissioner of the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism 

● Halima Roebuck — Owner/Operating Manager, 101.3 ROEFM WEVI 

● Lynette Harrigan — MBE, Niche Marketing/Tourism Liaison Manager, BVI Tourist Board 

Premier Cora Richardson-Hodge will also serve as the 2026 keynote speaker for the Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards, bringing a timely and powerful perspective on leadership, innovation, regional growth, and the future of Caribbean women in leadership.

As the first woman to serve as Premier of Anguilla, Cora Richardson-Hodge continues to make history while helping shape a bold vision for the future of the Caribbean. Guided by a “People First” agenda centered on People, Purpose, and Prosperity, she has emerged as one of the region’s leading voices in governance, innovation, and national development. As this year’s keynote speaker, Premier Richardson-Hodge is expected to help set the tone for meaningful conversations surrounding leadership, opportunity, and the future of the Caribbean region. 

Dr. Legena Henry is being recognized for her innovative work within sustainability and entrepreneurship, transforming environmental challenges into opportunity while helping advance conversations around climate resilience, environmental innovation, and economic development in the Caribbean. 

As the first woman to lead the Caribbean Tourism Organization, Dona Regis-Prosper continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Caribbean tourism through regional collaboration, strategic leadership, and sustainable destination development. 

Jennifer Matarangas-King is being honored for her leadership in advancing the visibility and growth of the U.S. Virgin Islands tourism product while championing Caribbean culture, destination development, and regional tourism partnerships. 

Halima Roebuck is being honored for her longstanding contributions to media and communications within the Virgin Islands community, helping amplify Caribbean voices, stories, culture, and community connection through radio broadcasting. 

Awarded an MBE for her contributions to tourism and community service, Lynette Harrigan has spent decades strengthening and elevating the tourism industry of the British Virgin Islands while becoming known for her professionalism, warmth, and commitment to creating welcoming experiences for visitors and residents alike. 

The Caribbean POSH ICON Woman Awards were created to celebrate and elevate Caribbean women whose work creates meaningful impact throughout the region and diaspora. More than an awards ceremony, the platform seeks to increase visibility, foster connection, and inspire future generations of Caribbean women leaders. 

Caribbean POSH Weekend 2026 will take place June 25–30, 2026, in the British Virgin Islands under the theme: “The Future of the Caribbean: Connection, Collaboration & Growth.” 

The multi-day experience will include the ICON Woman Awards, the POSHgirl POWER Brunch, the PINK Sunday Sunset Sail, curated cultural experiences, networking opportunities, and regional conversations centered around the future of Caribbean leadership and innovation.
